Jackfruit

The world's largest tree fruit is a South Florida staple — sold ripe for its sweet, custardy arils or harvested green as a meat substitute. NS1, Cheena, Dang Rasimi, and Black Gold are the leading named cultivars; unselected seedling fruit is also common at ethnic and specialty markets.
